How to use this torrent websites directory
This page is ordered for Indian connections. The first nine categories contain sites that an Indian ISP does not block; the tenth, Blocked in India, is listed last purely so you understand why those particular names fail. Nothing is hidden, but the sites you can actually open come first.
Indian blocking is not the site's fault. Following an April 2019 Delhi High Court order obtained by UTV and Twentieth Century Fox, the Department of Telecommunications directs ISPs such as Jio, Airtel, Vi and BSNL to block named domains under the Copyright Act. That judgement also empowered the Joint Registrar to add mirror, redirect and alphanumeric variants of a blocked site to the same order, which is why swapping to a backup domain usually does not help. The named domains include 1337x.to, thepiratebay.org and .se, torrentz2.eu, the RARBG family, the YTS/YIFY family, extratorrent.ag and torrentmovies.co; earlier ISP enforcement also covered torlock.com, torrentfunk.com, isohunt.com, kickasstorrents.com and fenopy.eu. Nyaa, RuTracker, LimeTorrents, Torrent Downloads, Torrent9 and YourBittorrent are blocked too.
How each listing was classified: every URL was resolved, fetched and content-checked on 11 October 2026 (parked and hijacked domains were rejected, not just dead ones). India reachability then came from two sources — OONI's web_connectivity measurements run from real Indian networks, which confirmed blocks on thepiratebay.org, 1337x.to, piratebay.live and libgen.li, and confirmed clean access to archive.org, GitHub, ubuntu.com and tails.net; plus the published court and DoT orders above. Be honest about the limit: OONI only probes a few hundred domains, so for the smaller indexes the verdict is “no Indian order names this domain,” which is strong evidence but not a measurement from your own ISP. Blocking also varies by circle and by operator, so a site in an accessible category can still fail for you. Tell me which ones do and I will reclassify them.

- Check the rights status of each individual file; an index listing it does not authorise the download.
- Treat every download as untrusted: verify publisher checksums, and scan before opening or installing.
- Public indexes carry heavy advertising; an ad blocker plus a sandboxed machine is the practical minimum.
- Private trackers in this list are invite-only and enforce ratio rules; they are recorded for reference, not open signup.
